The Bermuda Police Service has ordered another 24-hour shutdown for Southampton Rangers Sports Club, following two incidents at the club last weekend.

Acting Assistant Commissioner James Howard issued the temporary closure order to run from midnight on Saturday night until Monday morning.

This is the second time the club has been shut down as a result of antisocial behavior within the past three months.

Mr Howard, who is in charge of the Tactical Operations Division, issued the temporary order on Friday after a 20-year-old man was stabbed and a 22-year-old man suffered cuts to his hand when a broken bottle was “wielded during an altercation at the club last weekend.

The first club shutdown under the Liquor Licencing Act was Docksiders on Front Street in Hamilton earlier this year.
