Three men, including a police officer were formally charged in Magistrates’ Court this morning, with planning the destruction or suppression of traffic tickets between July 1, 2017 and May 8, 2018 by conspiring to defeat the course of justice.

Kyle Wheatley, 34, Calshunto James, 32, and Kenton Smith, 31, were not required to enter a plea to the indictable offence, which will go before a Supreme Court judge and jury.

Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe released all three defendants on $5,000 bail. The case was adjourned for mention on July 1, during the monthly arraignment session in the Supreme Court.
