A 31-year-old male motorcyclist is today recovering on a general ward following a two vehicle accident that occurred on South Road in Warwick on Sunday night, near the junction with Warwickshire Drive.
Police and first responders attended the reported collision around 9:15pm Sunday, March 24th.
A spokesman said: “It appears that a motorcyclist was traveling west on South Road and a taxi was being driven in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided in the vicinity of Warwick Long Bay playground.
“The rider, said to be a 31-year-old Hamilton Parish man, was injured and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
“At last check he was listed in stable condition on a general ward.
“Apparently the motorcycle’s male pillion passenger declined medical treatment by EMTs following the crash and the taxi driver was not hurt.
“Both vehicles were damaged and the scene was processed by the relevant police officers,” he added.
