An 18-year-old Hamilton Parish woman and the pillion passenger in a car, said to be a 42-year-old woman from the same parish, ended up in the hospital’s Emergency Department following a two vehicle accident.

Police say the accident occurred around 4:30pm on Saturday, April 20 on South Road in Paget, near the junction with White Sands Road.

A spokesman said: “It appears that a car was being driven east along South Road and a motorcycle was being ridden in the same direction when the collision occurred in the vicinity of Ice Queen.

The motorcycle rider, said to be an 18-year-old Hamilton Parish woman as well as the pillion passenger, said to be a 42-year-old Hamilton Parish woman, were hurt and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening and an update on their medical conditions is anticipated in due course.

No other injuries were reported.

Both vehicles involved were damaged and temporary traffic diversions were in effect following the crash.”
