Police responded to a report of a brawl, involving several men fighting around 3:40pm this afternoon, to find a man who sustained a non-life threatening stab wound to his back.

A spokesman said the incident occurred on Cambridge Road in Sandys near Champ’s.

“The wounded man, whose injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle,” he said

Cambridge Road was cordoned off while officers made initial inquiries as the investigation continues.
