Police confirming this afternoon that the38-year-old man shot multiple times in an early morning shooting, sustained injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.

Investigations continue this evening into the island’s latest shooting, which occurred in the Court Street area outside the Spinning Wheel night club, around 12:15 this morning (Mar 10).

Court Street remained closed between Dundonald and Elliott Streets for nearly four hours after the incident while the scene was forensically processed. Several spent shells were recovered.

“It is understood that immediately after the shooting, two men dressed in dark clothing with dark tinted helmets were seen speeding along King Street on a motorcycle that did not have any number plates,
a spokesman said.

“Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen individuals fitting this description in the area of Court Street and Elliott Street, Pembroke, shortly before or after the shooting.

“We wish to thank those members of the public who have so far come forward with information on this incident,” he added.
