A 23-year-old man initially admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for treatment after being assaulted at the Fairmont Southampton Resort sometime during New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day was later transferred to a general ward before being discharged earlier this week.

Since the assault and other violent incidents, three men have been formally charged in Magistrates’ Court in connection with a robbery in the car park of the South Shore property.

Kyari Flood, 18, of Devonshire, Zachary Fox, 19 and Jason Symonds, 18, both from Pembroke, denied the theft of a portable speaker worth $70, an iPhone worth $600 and an $800 watch during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.

All three were released on $10,000 bail each, with orders not to have any contact with the alleged victim, and to report to the Hamilton Police Station three times a week until their next court appearance for mention on January 18th.

Meanwhile, the Bermuda Police Service is today appealing for the public’s assistance in locating a reported stolen car.
