A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a Dunkley’s Dairy truck that was removed from Reid Street, near Washington Lane, while its two staff members made deliveries on Monday.
The vehicle was later recovered by police within a matter of hours, on the Railway Trail near Riviera Road in Southampton.
A spokesman said last night (Tuesday, May 28) the the man arrested “currently remains in police custody pending further inquiries”.
