Police confirmed the arrest of a 40-year-old foreign national who was being “sought in connection with an immigration matter”.
A spokesman said the man was arrested around 5:30pm on Sunday (March 28), after he was seen in the Parson’s Road area of Pembroke.
“He was handed over to the Department of Corrections and transported to the Westgate Correctional Facility,” the spokesman added.
A court appearance is anticipated during the Monday morning Plea Court session in Magistrates’ Court.
