A 27-year-old Sandys Parish man remains in police custody tonight, following a reported disturbance outside Woody’s Sports Bar & Restaurant on Sunday night.
Police say the incident occurred around 11:30pm last night, when an altercation broke out between two men, “resulting in two of the men being stabbed”.
“The individuals hurt – said to be a 47-year-old Sandys Parish man and a 45-year-old Sandys Parish man – were treated at the hospital for their injuries and later discharged.
“A 27-year-old Sandys Parish man arrested in connection with this incident remains in police custody pending further inquiries and efforts continue to locate the second suspect,” he added.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses following another disturbance that occurred outside Vasco Da Gama Club on Reid Street in Hamilton early Sunday morning.
Police say the incident occurred around 1:45am Sunday, May 13 – on Mother’s Day, when officers responded to the reported disturbance.
“There were several people in attendance at the venue for an event when it appears that two men became involved in an altercation inside the establishment, which ended up on Reid Street,” the police spokesman said.
“Apparently a 34-year-old Warwick man was stabbed during the incident and made his own way to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and later discharged,” he added.
