A ceremonial police funeral for the late Constable Latasha Gibson will be held at The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity on Church Street in Hamilton on Wednesday, July 5th at 1pm.
The motoring public is advised that the following temporary traffic diversions and parking restriction will be in effect, with police officer assisting in traffic management.
Section of Cedar Avenue Temporarily Closed
To accommodate the arrival of the funeral cortege, vehicular access to a section of Cedar Avenue between Church Street and Victoria Street will be temporarily restricted.
Section of Church Street Temporarily Closed
Church Street between Cedar Avenue and Parliament Street will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 12:30pm until the conclusion of the funeral (approximately 3pm).
Temporary Parking Restrictions
Vehicles will not be able to park on the north side of Church Street between Cedar Avenue and Parliament Street from 6am until the conclusion of the funeral (approximately 3pm).
PC Latasha Gibson, 43, affectionately known as Tasha, recently succumbed to a terminal illness, joined the Bermuda Police Service in 2005. She is survived by three children, numerous relatives and a host of colleagues and friends.
