Police are investigating an early morning weekend burglary that occurred when “thieves gained entry to the Vera P Card store on Water Street in St George’s around 3am Saturday, May 11th and stole a quantity of jewellery”.

A police spokesman said: “The suspects, described as three males wearing dark coloured clothing, made good their escape on foot shortly after the burglary.

An investigation into the incident is underway and witnesses or members of the public – particularly any passing motorists – that saw suspicious activity in the Water Street, York Street St George’s area between 2:20am and 3am Saturday are encouraged to call Detective Constable Seymour Foote on 247-1154 or 717-2282.
