Police today confirmed that a 29-year-old man sustained multiple stab wounds when he was assaulted by two men just outside Southampton Rangers Sports Club around 4pm on Sunday (Dec 5).
A spokesman said the victim was on his way to the football game at the club when the incident occurred.
He was able to make it to the club’s entrance, where security guards assisted him until an ambulance arrived.
At last check, he was still in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital receiving treatment.
