Police are investigating a single vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer travelling along Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton Parish.
The accident occurred around 12:40pm this afternoon. Police and first responders arrived at the scene of the crash to find the tractor trailer had ended up off the road.
The driver was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A police spokesman said: “Belco personnel also attended the scene and a crane was required to assist in the recovery of the tractor trailer.”
Traffic was diverted away from the scene of the crash, and police extended thanks to the motoring public and area residents “for their patience and cooperation”.
