The Bermuda Police Service (BPS), is investigating the discovery of several packages of suspected controlled drugs, found in waters near the Reefs Resort and Club, on South Road, Southampton.
But they’re not saying what type of drugs were pulled out of the water, in the first instance by a visitor who was snorkeling.
A spokesman said: “The first package was found by a visitor to the island while snorkeling just off the hotel beach, shortly before 1 pm on Monday, October 12th. Police were informed, officers attended and secured the item.
“A second package was later found at Marley Beach, Warwick around 4 pm on the same date by a member of the public, who handed in the item at a Police station.
“Police Officers with the assistance of the Bermuda Coast Guard subsequently conducted an extensive search of the area, resulting in a third package being located just off of Marley Beaches.
“As investigations into these finds continue, the BPS is appealing to any member of the public who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the waters off the South Shore in recent days, to please call 211 or the main police number 295-0011.
