Police are investigating a reported robbery at Belvin’s on Middle Road in Smith’s Parish around 5pm on Sunday.
A police spokesman said the suspect, walked into the store and stole an undisclosed amount of money out of the cash register.
“He then left on a waiting motorcycle ridden by a male accomplice. It is believed that the suspects left on a motorcycle travelling in a westerly direction on Middle Road. No one was injured and it appears that no weapon was brandished,” he said.
Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information to contact police on 295-0011.
