Police are investigating a case of “offensive graffiti, which threatened violence to police during Cup Match”, was found sprayed over several locations in the City of Hamilton leading up to the two-day classic.
Police say the reports of willful damage came in around 10am on the first day of Cup Match and that the offensive graffiti was found spray painted at locations on:
- Dundonald Street
- Happy Valley Road
- Junction of Beacon Street and Angle Street
- Cedar Avenue
A spokesman said: “The graffiti was documented and inquiries continue.
“Any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
