Police have confirmed that a firearm was found in a garden in the Harlem Heights area of Hamilton Parish earlier today, just days after gunshots were reported in the area.
When officers responded to the reports that multiple shots were fired, no forensic evidence was found, but patrols were stepped up in the area.
There are reports circulating that the gun was reportedly discovered by the individual who may have been the target of the shots fired last week.
