Police have arrested a fifth man in connection with that recent brazen robbery that occurred in broad daylight at Gold Standard on January 29.
A police spokesman said officers arrested a 34-year-old man on Friday. He was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
“The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank those members of the public who have come forward to assist with this investigation thus far,” he said.
“However, we know there are still individuals out there who have not come forward and we are appealing to these persons to make contact with the investigators.”
The robbery occurred around 9.30am shortly after the store opened.
Two men, one armed with what appeared to be a gun, rode into the mall and smashed display cases in the shop and made off with the contents.
Four men — aged between 19 and 24 — were earlier arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.
