A female visitor tragically lost her life while vacationing in Bermuda today.
Marine Police responded to a report of an incident that took place in the waters off of Hawkins Island 11:09am.
A spokesman said: “It appears that a female tourist was swimming when she fell into difficulty in the water and had to be taken out by onlookers.
“She was then conveyed by a police boat, to Barrs Park, where she was met by the ambulance and subsequently conveyed the woman to KEMH where she was later pronounced dead.
“No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.”
