A 39-year-old Paget woman jogging along Cobb’s Hill Road and a motorcyclist were rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department after she was hit by a motorcycle early this morning (Thursday)

Police say the accident occurred around 6:55am on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Cobb’s Hill.

A spokesman said: “It appears that a 39-year-old Paget woman was running (exercising) along Cobbs Hill Road and a motorcyclist, said to be a 42-year-old St George’s man, was riding west along Middle Road when the woman attempted to cross Middle Road and was struck by the motorcyclist.

Both the male rider and the female runner involved were injured and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Early information suggests that their injuries are not life threatening.

Morning commuters experienced traffic delays in the surrounding area while inquiries were conducted at the scene.
