A 51-year-old Pembroke man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after his car struck a female motorcyclist on North Shore Road in Devonshire just before 1pm on Friday.

Police say the woman, a 30-old Hamilton Parish resident was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment of a leg injury.

A spokesman said the motorcyclist was travelling east along North Shore Road when the car “driven out of the parking lot of Robinson Bay Park struck her”.

The driver was not hurt.

He was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and then released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Both vehicles involved were damaged,” the spokesman added.
