A 63-year-old woman driving a car that struck a wall escaped injury as a result of a single vehicle accident on Tuesday.

Police say the accident occurred around 8:45am on Tuesday, August 20, on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with East Point Lane.

A spokesman said: “ Apparently the driver, said to be a 63-year-old Smith’s Parish woman, was not seriously hurt.

However, it is understood she was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for medical assessment as a precaution.

Temporary traffic diversions were in effect while the scene was processed and the damaged car was later towed away.

Any witnesses are asked to call Constable Craig Outerbridge on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
