A female driver was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department following a single vehicle accident on Sunday on Scaur Hill in Sandys.

Police say the accident occurred around 4pm at the junction of Scaur Hill and Somerset Road.

“Reports are the motorcar involved was being driven East along Somerset Road when the driver failed to negotiate the bend and struck  a pillar at the entrance of a nearby driveway, before flipping on its side in the westbound lane,” a spokesman said.
“The female driver of the vehicle sustained a neck injury and scratches to her face.
“She was transported via ambulance to the  King Edward VII hospital for treatment to her injuries which were not considered life threatening.”
