Police and first responders rushed to the scene of a single vehicle accident that occurred around 3pm on Thursday, where a car “was somehow driven off an embankment on Orange Valley Road in Devonshire”.

A police spokesman said the accident occurred “approximately 100 metres north of the junction with Jubilee Road”.

“The lone female occupant was extricated out of the vehicle and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.”

Traffic was diverted while the car was being removed. And an investigation is now underway.
