Police are investigating the cause of a serious road traffic accident involving a motorcyclist and two pedestrians.
A police spokeswoman said one of the victims is an elderly male who sustained a head injury as a result of the collision.
The accident occurred at the North Shore Road junction with Studio Lane in Hamilton Parish along the stretch at Shelly Bay around 5:50pm on Thursday.
“Details are limited, however all three parties involved have been conveyed to KEMH for treatment of their injuries.
“At least one of the pedestrians, an elderly male, is believed to have suffered a head injury. The injuries of the other two parties is not known at this time,” she said.
Traffic was disrupted for several hours as motorists were diverted to Harrington Sound Road.
