Police tonight confirmed an armed robbery that occurred in broad daylight at the Cake Shop Bakery, on Curving Avenue in Pembroke shortly after 4:38pm this afternoon, that saw two gunmen make off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
As first reported by TNN in a live report, two men brandishing guns “entered the premises, went to the cash register and took an undisclosed quantity of cash”.
A police spokesman said: “One suspect is described as 6’ 2” tall, slim built, light complexioned and wearing a black hoodie with his face covered.
“The second suspect is said to be 5’ 3” tall, stockily built, also wearing a black hoodie with his face covered.
“It is believed the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle.
“There were no reported injuries,” he added.
