The Bermuda Police Service today confirmed the death of 55-year-old Calvin Carmichael who was found in an unresponsive state aboard his 24ft boat moored in waters off Lagoon Park dock around 7:40pm last night.

While extending condolences to Mr Carmichael’s family and friends, a spokesman said: “Members of the public assisted police officers in securing the vessel to the dock, where emergency medical personnel commenced lifesaving efforts. However, Mr Carmichael was later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor.

“Foul play is not suspected. However, an autopsy is anticipated,” he added.

This is the second sudden death in as many days this week. Rohan Simons, 45, was found in an unresponsive state at a property in the Spar Lane, Craddock Road in Sandys, and later pronounced dead on Sunday.
