Police confirmed the death of a 68-year-old Southampton man, who succumbed to serious injuries following a road traffic accident on Middle Road in Paget on Tuesday (March 17).
The two vehicle collision with a car occurred just east of Four Ways Inn just before 4pm.
A police spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, police found that CPR was being performed on the bike rider, a 68-year-old Southampton male.
“He was subsequently transported via ambulance to King Edward the Seventh Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
“This is the second fatal road traffic collision for 2020.”
