The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed the death of 50-year-old Keith Trott, who died as a result of what appears to be a single vehicle collision that took place on Thursday, August 2nd around 12:20am, on Southside Road near the junction with Cooper’s Island Road (roundabout).
A spokesman said: “Details are still coming to light however, when officers and EMT’s arrived on the scene they noticed Mr Trott by his black pedal cycle sitting in the grass with abrasions to his arm and a bump and cut to the back of his head.
“He however, was alert and communicating at the scene and told officers he fell off of his pedal cycle. He was subsequently conveyed via ambulance to the hospital where he remained until his untimely passing.
“Police would like to speak with anyone who may have seen 50-year-old Keith Trott, who was apparently left a campsite on a black pedal cycle travelling on Southside Road, or anyone who may have been in his company at the campsite on Thursday, August 2nd (first day of Cup Match).
“This marks the 8th Road Traffic Fatality for 2018.
A family liaison officer has been assigned to the family and the Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” he added.
