The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed the death of 19-year-old Talundae Grant, who tragically lost his life in a single vehicle accident marking Bermuda’s fifth road traffic fatality in 2019.

The Hillview Warwick resident was found lying on Malabar Road unresponsive around 1:55am Saturday, July 27th in Sandys near  Cochrane Road.

Police say he was travelling west on Malabar Road when the accident occurred.

A spokesman said: “Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene by EMTs – which continued as he was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance – sadly, Mr. Grant was later pronounced dead.

A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the deceased’s loved ones at this difficult time.”

He also extended sincere condolences to the young man’s family and friends on behalf of the Bermuda Police Service.

Meanwhile, he said: “A full investigation regarding the circumstances of this fatal crash – the fifth for 2019 – continues and any witnesses are once again urged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 as soon as possible.”
