The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) has confirmed the death of 58-year-old Matthew Cooper, who tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in a road traffic accident on October 17, marking the 15th fatality on our roads this year.
A police spokesperson said Mr Cooper died on Friday, October 29.
“Mr Cooper, understood to be a UK guest worker, was critically injured when the pedal cycle he was riding collided with a car on Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Fielder’s Lane around 6:10pm Sunday, October 17th.
“As a result, the Bermuda Police Service can verify that the number of road fatalities for the year so far is 15.”
Meanwhile, the collision that claimed the life of Mr Cooper remains under investigation.
