Police Chief Inspector Peter Stableford, the Officer in Charge of the Serious Crime Unit released more details today, on the arrest last night of a man believed to be involved with the recent shooting of a young man in St David’s.
In a statement released this afternoon, Mr Stableford said the alleged suspect turned himself in to police at the Southside Police Station around 9pm last night, where he was subsequently arrensted.
“We recognise the impact and fear these shootings bring to the community and the Bermuda Police Service is dedicated to ensuring those responsible are brought to justice as soon as possible,” he said.
“We will always need the assistance of the public and appreciate the response we have received, without which we cannot help bring the closure needed for so many families and victims.”
Meanwhile, he said: “The investigation into last Friday’s shooting in St David’s continues and we will update further as soon as we are able.”
