The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed the death of a 66-year-old man who died as a result of a fire that took place at a private residence on Scott’s Hill in Sandys last night.
A police spokesman said a full investigation is now underway with the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service.
No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 5:20pm and were at the scene for quite some time before the fire on both floors of the house was put out.
