News Release: Thursday, December 13, 2018 – The passing of former Commissioner of Police Frederick ‘Penny’ Bean OBE QPM represents a monumental loss for the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) and the local community at large.
To pay honour and respect to the first Bermudian Commissioner of Police, a number of tributes have been organisedwithin the BPS and publicly to celebrate his life and legacy.
On Friday, December 14th from 9am until 4pm there will be an official condolence book placed at Hamilton Police Station for BPS staff and members of the community to sign.
All police flags will be flown at half-mast from 8am Friday until 8pm Monday.
The funeral for Commissioner Bean will held at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity on Church Street in the City of Hamilton 2pm Monday, December 17th.
