Police are investigating another road traffic accident that landed two passengers in hospital after the car she was travelling in with two other women overturned on Scaur Hill in Sandys around 4pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman said the 72-year-old driver struck a wall just before the car  flipped over.

One woman was able to free herself while the other two passengers were trapped in the vehicle until firefighters were able to release them.

The two women trapped were taken to the hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment of minor injuries.

Traffic flow was restricted to one lane until the vehicle was removed.
