A police investigation into the latest shooting of a 17-year-old teenager is now underway, with an appeal for public assistance.
The incident occurred around 11:15pm last night when the young man was shot and injured in the North Shore/Glebe Road area in Devonshire.
A spokesman said: “The 17-year-old male victim was transported from the area via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital treatment.
“The extent of his injury is currently unknown, but at last check he was conscious and responsive. The scene was processed by the relevant police personnel and an investigation is underway.”
Witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the North Shore Road, Glebe Road area around 11:15pm Friday, May 19th are urged to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
