The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed the death of a 59-year-old man who died as a result of a fatal road traffic accident that occurred around 10:35am this morning on St John’s Road in the area of Gorham’s.
A police spokesman said: “Upon police arrival it was ascertained that the 59-year-old male was travelling west on St Johns’ Road, when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.”
Sadly, this latest death marks the fifth road traffic fatality recorded on Bermuda’s roads this year.
The spokesman added: “The man was taken via ambulance to KEMH, where he later was pronounced dead. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.”
