Bermuda recorded another road traffic fatality tonight, following a single vehicle accident on Black Watch Pass in Pembroke, around 6:30pm this evening.

A police spokesman said details are still emerging, but it appears that a 52-year-old man was travelling south on Black Watch Pass when the accident occurred.

The spokesman said it appears that the rider “lost control of his motorcycle and hit the curve”. “As a result the man was taken to the hospital via ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.

“No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified,” he added.

But already, tributes are pouring in via social media for the deceased, who is a well known member of the community. His picture was being circulated with messages of condolences to his family shortly after the fatal accident occurred.

On behalf of Bermuda Real, we extend our condolences to his family and friends.
