Police are investigating another road traffic fatality that claimed the life of a male motorcyclist last night.
The accident occurred around 9:50pm on Thursday, November 9th, in the Somerset Road, Scaur Hill Drive Sandys Parish area, near the Lantana property.
A spokesman said: “Initial information suggests that a male motorcyclist collided with a truck.
“The rider was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance with serious injuries and sadly, was later pronounced dead.
“Identification of the deceased is anticipated in due course pending notification of his next of kin.”
Motorists experienced lengthy traffic delays as police processed the scene.
A full investigation into this fatal collision, the 14th of 2017, is underway and any witnesses are urged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.
