Police are investigating another weekend road traffic accident that occurred on Sunday, December 3rd on North Shore Road in Smith’s Parish.

The two car collision occurred around 7:45pm on Sunday in the area of Flatts Village. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

A police spokesman said: “The two cars were apparently being driven in opposite directions at the time.” But he said: “It has now been confirmed that three people were involved.

“The driver and front seat passenger of one of the vehicles, believed to be a 57-year-old Warwick woman and a 37-year-old Pembroke woman respectively, were initially trapped and had to be extracted by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel.

“It appears that the driver of the other vehicle, believed to be a 30-year-old Sandys Parish woman, was not injured.

“All three women were transported via ambulance to the hospital for medical assessment and later discharged. Both cars were damaged and inquiries continue,” he added.
