Serious crime officers are today investigating yet another shooting on Court Street, this time in the area of Jamaican Grill, that left a 30-year-old man shot, but his injuries were non-life threatening.
Reports reaching Bermuda Real overnight, indicated that the gunshots were heard shortly before midnight, which was just confirmed by police just before 12 noon today.
A police spokeswoman said: “Initial investigations revealed that a firearm had been discharged in the area and the scene was forensically processed.
“A short time later, a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound was transported to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not considered to be life threatening. He was treated then later discharged. It is confirmed that the two incidents are connected,” the spokeswoman said.
“The Bermuda Police Service would like to encourage anyone who may have been in the Court Street area at the time of the incident, drove through the area with a dash camera between 11:30pm and 12:30pm or anyone who may have information about this incident, to get in touch.
