First there was the emergency responders dispatched out of Port Royal Fire Station, who went racing by with sirens on full blare around 6:35am this morning.
They were followed by two more emergency vehicles; racing east, which usually indicates that whatever the emergency is it’s serious.
And just before 7am, police confirmed a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a person on a pedal cycle in the area of South Road and Church Bay.
And as expected, a police spokesman said it “appears to be serious”, and one of the victim’s suffered severe head injuries.
This is the second time in as many days that a pedal cyclist has been involved in a collision with a motorcycle.
A 66-year-old senior citizen, believed to from Devonshire, is currently fighting for his life in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
