A 71-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a smartphone from a motorcycle storage box.
Police say the motorcycle was parked on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, near Burnaby Street.
A spokesman added: “Police officers responded to the incident around 12:40am Wednesday, November 27th after the suspect was observed on CCTV tampering with and then removing an item from the motorcycle’s storage box.
“He was located and arrested a short time later.
“The smartphone was recovered and has been returned to its rightful owner.
“The 71-year-old man, believed to be a Pembroke resident, remains in police custody at this time pending further inquiries by the Criminal Investigation Department.”
