A 29-year-old Pembroke man is today listed in serious condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following an early morning two-vehicle accident in Pembroke.
Police say the collision occurred around 1.45am, between the man, on a motorcycle, and a car near the traffic lights at the junction of Cedar Avenue, on St John’s Road and Marsh Folly Road.
A spokesman said: “Details remain limited at this time. However, it is understood that the rider involved was transported to hospital via ambulance for treatment of head injuries and serious injuries to both legs.
“The driver of the car, said to be a 34-year-old Hamilton Parish man, has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”
Traffic diversions were in effect for approximately four hours while the scene was processed.
