A 26-year-old man who was sustained multiple gunshot wounds in a shooting incident in Paget last night, is “recuperating at hospital having undergone surgery for his injuries”.
Police say the incident occurred at a private residence at Fritholme Gardens in Paget, just before 8pm on Thursday (Jan 20).
Police are now appealing for anyone with information on this incident, to call 211, the main police number 295-0011 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477.
“Police are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen two men on a white motorcycle leaving the Fritholme Gardens area around shortly after the incident,” a spokesman said.
“The rider was dressed in dark clothing. The pillion passenger wore a tan coloured jacket.
“Also, anyone who may have seen a car driven in an erratic manner as it left the area shortly after the incident, is asked to contact police at the numbers listed above.”
