Police confirmed today that the 19-year-old male motorcyclist who was involved in a police pursuit and arrested after riding the wrong way up Stowe Hill in Paget – resulting in a collision with another motorcyclist and a car – has been released on police bail pending an upcoming court appearance.
Police say the accident occurred around 12:55pm on Friday, May 31.
A spokesman said: “At last check this morning (June 3rd) the other motorcyclist involved, said to be a 40-year-old Devonshire man and his female pillion passenger, said to be a 34-year-old St George’s woman, had both been treated and discharged from hospital.
“The car driver involved, said to be a 75-year-old Pembroke man, was not hurt.”
“Any witnesses are now encouraged to call Acting Sergeant Melvin Best on 717-2385.”
