Progressive Labour Party candidate Curtis Dickinson took a decisive victory at the polls in Warwick North East, with a 75 vote majority over One Bermuda Alliance candidate Justin Mathias.
The final count 375 to 300.
But the OBA retained the seat vacated by Dr Grant Gibbons in Paget East where Scott Pearman secured 461 votes to 300 for the PLP’s Curtis Richardson.
The PLP’s newly elected MP was greeted by a sea of green when he arrived at Warwick Workmen’s Club last night, as supporters chanted “PLP all the way”.
The result means the PLP has increased its number of seats in the House of Assembly to 25, with 11 seats now held by the OBA.
