The Inaugural Progressive Labour Party Constituency 2 ‘Mother-Daughter Soirée at Rosewood, Tucker’s Point- exceeded expectations last week, by celebrating the significant contribution to Bermuda through the PLP by our women leaders.
A spokesman said: “It was most poignant that the elegance of the Rosewood, Tucker’s Point Brasserie Restaurant was surpassed by class, grace, poise and beauty that was in abundance with the 172 Ladies and young girls in attendance at the Soirée.
“The 2½ hour program purposefully included East End entertainers,” he added.

• A Recital by Sherlene Bailey “Phenomenal Woman”
• Song by Laritta Adderley (former Bermuda Idol) ‘Wings beneath my wings’
Annual Phoenix Awards Dinner
One of the highlights included a keynote address by former Premier Dame Jennifer Smith, which included an “untold historical revelation about the formation of the PLP” and the key role women played in the PLP.
PLP MP Lawrence Scott was also on hand to escort his mother Olga Scott to the event, along with former Premier Dr Ewart Brown, who escorted his wife, Wanda Brown. with Master Edward Burt escorting his mother, Kristin White, who was also accompanied by little Miss Nia Burt.
