Plans for the second phase of the St George’s marina have been submitted to the Development Applications Board
The proposal by BotelholWood Architecture for St George’s Marina Development Ltd, includes floating docks at Market Wharf with power supply pedestals for both Market Wharf and Penno’s Wharf.
The plans will also see the replacement of the deteriorating catwalk to Ordnance Island with a new floating dock and a covered verandah at the site’s facility’s building.
According to the planning letter: “The previous verandah has been removed to allow construction of the new dock for the Corporation of St George’s that has been approved as a separate item.
“The proposed verandah is designed to suit the structure of the new dock and to provide enhanced facilities for crews and guests of visiting vessels.”
The application is part of a $4.1 million development project that has been talked about for more than ten years.
Groundbreaking for the first phase took place this summer.
